St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, Armagh, Northern Ireland

An evening prayer service from St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, Armagh, Northern Ireland, commemorating Saint Oliver Plunkett.

We join the faithful gathered at St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, Armagh, Northern Ireland, for a special evening prayer service to mark the 50th anniversary of the canonisation of Saint Oliver Plunkett. The service is led by Archbishop Eamon Martin, archbishop of Armagh and primate of all Ireland.

Armagh holds a deep spiritual connection to Saint Oliver Plunkett, who served as archbishop there in the 17th century. The cathedral, standing on its historic hill, provides a fitting setting for this moment of remembrance and thanksgiving.

Scripture readings will be complemented by hymns and choral music sung by choirs. Prayers will be offered in the spirit of Saint Oliver’s enduring legacy.
