On Top of the Digital World - Get Your Message Out
Kiera Box and her friends used the internet to encourage lots of young people to come to London in 2003 and join a peace protest against the Iraq War. They established a campaign website called ‘Hands up for Peace’, which included a forum and down-loadable hand prints. By the time the war broke out, they had received over two thousand hand prints from all over the world and were able to plant them in Parliament Square as part of their demonstration.
