English teacher David Warr is seeking £20,000 investment in his Language Garden.

Will Shaf Rasul and Julie Meyer learn much from his pitch?

David's pitch and demonstration shows us his passion for language teaching but he forgets to present the most important information – the investment he wants from the Dragons.

Shaf gets straight down to business, asking for the details David failed to provide as well as some background on David's teaching career. Julie Meyer is clearly intrigued by David's teaching methods and reveals that she used to teach English in France so has a strong understanding of the challenges involved.

Shaf discovers that David's turnover amounts to just £15,000 over the last two years and Julie wants to know how that figure could be boosted: "How could you add three zeros to that?"

David reveals that he is currently negotiating with a French internet service provider who is interested in offering his activities as a subscription service online. He claims this deal alone is what makes his business worth £400,000. Unfortunately the documents only prove a contract with an agent so far but he suggests any deal struck could be dependant on this.

After trying to get more of an impression of David as a business partner, Julie is the first to make her decision: "I'm interested in making this a big success, so becoming one of the leading brands in language teaching over the web." However, the deal David's offering isn't quite to Julie's taste. She offers £10,000 in return for 20% equity.

Under Dragons' Den rules David must be offered the full amount of investment he asked for. Encouraged by Julie's potential involvement in the business, Shaf matches her offer. It's up to David to decide...

"I accept", with these two words David becomes the first entrepreneur to gain an investment from both of the Online Dragons.
