Over the last few weeks freezing temperatures have resulted in lots of us seeing a fair amount of snow. The cold spell is one of the longest we've had in years.

It's meant thousands of schools have been shut, and it's also given you plenty of ammunition for snowball fights.

However it seems some people don't like being in the crossfire. At least one police force has started asking callers to think twice about whether it's really necessary to get a police officer involved.
