To show how strong badgers are, Gordon Buchanan sets the Essex clan a challenge. He drills holes in fallen logs and shoves peanuts into them. Can the badgers get at the food? First on the scene is a fox which bites away some wood to get one. Next, Yoyo the badger arrives. He tears apart the soft wood with his nose, and uses his powerful claws on the hard wood. Zippy the old badger is next and is not too old to use her claws. She also chases off Dennis when he appears on the scene. Dennis finally gets his chance, but isn't that successful at getting the peanuts out. When the badgers have left, a wood mouse cleans up the scraps. Finally Yoyo returns and gets the last few peanuts from the log.
