40 years of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Oxford
Bill Rennells starts our 40th birthday celebrations with a two hour show full of memories from ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Oxfords 40 years.
Bill Rennells kicks of our 40th birthday celebrations with a look back at some of the local news and events that have happened in Oxfordshire since 1970, with archive clips of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Oxford presenters and reporters who brought them to you.
Do you remember the Marston Ferry Link Road opening or the Concorde test flights from RAF Brize Norton in the 70s?
Perhaps you were listening in the 1980s when Timmy Mallet was on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Oxford and we went to Wembley with Oxford United?
Bill will also have clips of Pam Ayres when she was a regular guest on air in the 90s and news reports of trouble at Campsfield House. Some things never change!
We’ll even have a few clips from this decade when ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Oxford TV first went on air and Alison Booker surprised her partner Andrew by proposing to him during a Children In Need show.
There will also be some great songs from the past 40 years and we’re after your memories, tapes and memorabilia too.
So join Bill Rennells for a trip through the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Oxford Archives, Bank Holiday Monday from 2 o’clock.
