Elephant
This is the largest land animal in the world – the African elephant. Elephants live in family groups of older females and their calves. The females all tend to be related so everyone helps to look after the babies.
When they are born, baby elephants can’t control their trunks very well – perhaps it’s not surprising when it has one hundred thousand muscles in it!
