Catholics granted land in Ulster
Jim McDowell finds evidence that among the planters to Ireland, there were Scottish Catholics. For example, the amount of land awarded to Randal McDonnell (one third of a million acres) actually dwarfed the amount of land allocated to other British planters during that era.
