Advice Sessions: Recording
Jacob Rickard plus special guests Kris Harris, Jack Tarrant and Huw Stephens review new Kent music, and offer advice for new bands about the music recording process.
Recording is vital for new bands. The process enables artists to make their music available online, and means they can send their music to radio DJs, labels, promoters and venues. These opportunities can often kick-start a musical career, so it's an essential thing to get right.
In a ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Kent Introducing special, Jacob Rickard discusses recording processes with special guests Kris Harris from Squarehead Studios, Jack Tarrant from the EMI Music Publishing studios, and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens.
We hear from Alex, frontman of Gravesend duo LightsGoBlue, about their DIY recording style.
Also, reporter Jamie Stephens finds out about other recording studio options available for young Kent musicians.
