Video Diary: Elizabeth Lavenza
Elizabeth, unlike her passive counter part from the 1818 original, is smart, strong and knows what she wants- an equal partnership with the man she loves. Simple- right?
'If I see but one smile on your lips when we meet... I shall need no other happiness'. Elizabeth Lavenza
Unlike her passive counterpart in Shelley’s original novel, the modern day Elizabeth is smart, strong and knows what she wants- an equal partnership with the man she loves. Simple- right? Trouble is Victor has become increasingly obsessed with his work spending hours toiling away in his lab. They’ve been together for ages but she can’t help but question if she really knows this manic and sleep deprived man. He has always been passionate about his work, it’s one of the reasons she fell in love with him but this is different. She is almost certain he is hiding something.
But now is not the time for doubts - with a big society wedding, thousands of guests and an ambitious wedding planner, Elizabeth has got to grit her teeth and get on with it. She’d be happy with a reception in the upstairs of a pub but the Frankenstein’s don’t do things by halves. Despite her reticence, she knows how important this day is. After the murder of Victor Frankenstein’s younger brother, William, the family desperately need something good to celebrate. She just wishes she could feel as excited about it as everyone else.
