Upstream from Plymouth Sound
The river boundary between Devon and Cornwall is rich in wildlife, including herons, mink and reed warblers. Steep woodlands conceal old mooring places, arsenic mines and disused lime kilns, home to plants like orchids and foxgloves and insects such as grasshoppers.
