                Ants in abundance
Peatlands Park warden Colin Gates introduces Sanjida O'Connell to the world of Scottish wood ants. They were originally imported to Ireland in the 1840s as food for game birds. Living in deciduous woodland on the edge of the park they are found nowhere else in Ireland.
