The Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan produced a swift and radical response in Germany. Chancellor Angela Merkel ordered a review of her country's nuclear policy and decreed that seven of the oldest reactors should cease working.
But as ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Steve Evans reports from Germany, switching away from nuclear power raises other dilemmas such as building a network of unsightly cables to carry wind power.
