As the city prepares to host this year's Eurovision Song Contest Andrew looked at the astonishing history of the 60 year relationship between Düsseldorf and Reading.

The twinning of Düsseldorf and Reading started in a very small way - when in 1948 a group of six children from Düsseldorf went to Reading.
Gretel Rieber was among them. She went to Reading to stay with June Whitcombe.
She been recounted her memories of meeting June and coming to England for the first time.
