1986 Day: Memories and events of 1986

We speak to former North Staffordshire sportsmen Imran Sherwani, a medallist in 1986 and the 1988 Olympics, and Alan Hudson, the Stoke City flair player who quit football in 1986.

We look at one of the original working ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Domesday machines from 1986 at Staffordshire University.

There's also a chat with former Stoke City footballer Alan Hudson, who quit football in 1986, and interview with Imran Sherwani, the Stoke-on-Trent born hockey player who won a Silver at the '86 hockey world championships and went on to win a gold in the '88 Olympics. There's also a live interview with former Radio Stoke presenter Nigel Jay, who you might remember used to present Jay-walk, and with James Masters who acted in the first performance at Newcastle-under-Lyme's New Vic theatre which opened in 1986.
