So many good re-issues of music that perhaps has been worn out or sent off to the charity shop. It’s all reappearing on CD from a number of sources. There’s a second chance to hear John Coltrane with Paul Quinchette. Dizzy Gillespie with the jazz stars of the fifties and Nat Adderley with brother Julian ‘Cannonball’ Adderley during their early days in New York. But right up to date there’s also a new CD from Midlands musician Paul Sawtell. Some more from Roy Sainsbury’s CD plus another listen to new singer Sophie Smith.
