Eno And The Winkies - Archive session (1975)
Experimental Inde Rock outfit 'Eno and The Winkies' recorded in session for John Peel on 27th June 1975.
The Winkies were formed by Canadian-born Philp Rambow. They were a combination of pub rock with glam rock clothing. Brian Eno, who at the time was finishing his debut album, noticed The Winkies and in 1974, he took them as his backing band on his first and only solo tour.
