We look at what some of our Midlands jazz festivals have in store this summer.
We talk about the Leasowes Bank Music Festival in Shropshire and check out what the 26th Wigan Jazz Festival has in store.
There’s music from Clifford Brown, John Coltrane, Dickie Wells and Scott Hamilton. We record the death of Northern Ireland blues singer Otillie Patterson and there’s also some jazz song from Beryl Bryden with Alex Welsh and his band.
Bringing us up-to-date, there’s music from Bruce Adams and Tony Marshall and Pee Wee Ellis has been to funk and he’s on his way back to jazz.
