Manchester Ship Canal - St Clement's Church, Ordsall
At the iconic Salford Lads Club, Sandra has been attending a "social media surgery" to learn all about Facebook.
Reverend Sandra Kearney and her husband, Bob work out of St Clement's Church in the heart of Ordsall, within a council estate dogged by social problems.
There are high levels of unemployment in the area and the couple face a weekly battle to get people through the doors of the church.
Six years ago the church was closed for business, and after being reopened Sandra's predecessor managed to build up congregation numbers to just five people a week.
But after a lot of hard work, Sandra has boosted attendance numbers up to 30 plus 'bums on seats' every Sunday.
But for Sandra and Bob, this is not enough. So they are now turning to the internet and computer technology in a bid to boost congregation numbers in one of the toughest housing estates in the region.
Reverend Sandra Kearney - Sandra sees the internet and social media as a way of breaking down barriers within the community and sharing information - no matter what your background.
So at the iconic Salford Lads Club, Sandra has been attending a "social media surgery" to learn all about Facebook. She now has an active Facebook page which is being used by her congregation. The church also has its own website.
Sandra's husband, Bob Kearney has taught himself how to use PowerPoint to help keep the church services modern. There's now no need for dusty hymnbooks and printing out tired looking service sheets.
All the orders of service, prayers and hymns come up on a big screen in church with pictures. Bob feels this is helpful for people of different reading abilities and for people who may not have English as their first language.
