Winner of the 53rd annual Eurovision Song Contest broadcast from the Belgrade Arena, Serbia.
Dima Bilan won for Russia singing "Believe"
This year there were a number of returning artists including Roberto Meloni for Latvia, Charlotte Perrelli for Sweden, and the winner himself Dima Bilan for Russia.
2008 was also the first year when eurovision.tv streamed the contest live on ESCTV.
Russia won the song contest with 272 points!
