Jimmy Rushing sings with Dave Bruebeck and the Quartet and the story of the Jazz Baroness.
Jimmy Rushing and the Dave Brubeck Quartet recorded in 1960. There's the story of Hannah Rothschild and how she uncovered the family secret of her great aunt. This was a lady who was friend and confidant of Thelonious Monk who risked prison for the genius pianist. We hear part of a new album from Pat Metheny and it's the first one from him with a saxophone since 1980. New album out in June prior to a tour of Europe.
