The Bishop's Rotwellier, a trip to Malawi and a Rackety Rector

Rob hears from two men recently appointed to important church posts in the county. There is news of a service on a Suffolk pier, and the not quiet true story of a misbehaving vicar in north Suffolk.

Rob hears from two men recently appointed to important church posts in the county. There is news of a service on a Suffolk pier, and the not quiet true story of a misbehaving vicar in north Suffolk.

Rob chats to one of two recently appointed honorary assistant bishops in the county. Retired Bishop Sandy Millar, from Aldeburgh, talks about his long career in the church, which includes being involved in the creation of the Alpha Course.

Former ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Suffolk journalist Ian Morgan tells Rob about his new role as Archdeacon of Suffolk. The role was once described as the Bishop's Rotweiller, but the Reverend Canon, who's currently Rural Dean of Ipswich, explains how it is now much more about looking after the clergy, their families and church buildings.

The Reverend Rich Henderson uses social networking sites to connect with parishioners in north Suffolk, and also talks about the occasional services he holds on Southwold pier.

Rob links up live with Suffolk man Andrew Rayner who is in Malawi. He is out there to see first hand a project which he and others will be fundraising for later this year with a special series of Christmas concerts, as well as a CD and DVD.

Madonna is in the Pop Pulpit this week. The Reverend Andrew Dotchin chooses her song This Used To Be My Playground for his discussion.

And there's news of a new musical coming to Redgrave. The Rackety Rector of Rickinghall is loosely based on the 100-year-old story of a vicar with a dodgy reputation. Rob chats to its writer, composer and producer, Peter Cresswell.
