In the news hour from 5pm, Lowestoft Boxer Anthony Ogogo beats Olympic favourite and number one seed Ievgen Khytrov, reaching the middlewight quarter-finals in the process. The Suffolk fighter stunned the Ukrainian world number one and took the bout on the judges' verdict, after the three round fight had ended 18 all on points. Hear how it happened, alongside reaction from Suffolk archer Nicky Hunt.

Suffolk TV presenter Peter Purves has hit out over plans for three new wind turbines in Laxfield. He says the units will be a permanent blight on the landscape. The 50 foot turbines would be built by Norwich firm Windcrop, which insists the impact on the countryside will be minimal. Hear Peter's concerns, plus James's chat with Windcrop MD John Moore.

Suffolk farmer David Walker says he's angry about the fire service's response time to a haystack blaze on his property. He stores hay at Hermitage Farm in Clare and was shocked to hear that an appliance was sent from Long Melford rather from the town's own station. James chats to him and to the Assistant Chief Fire Officer for Suffolk Fire Service, Phil Embury.

In the first hour, the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft has unveiled an ambitious expansion plan which will see it treble its ground floor space. The announcement coincides with a major restoration project at the landmark venue. £250,000 is being spent on its auditorium. Guy Campbell's been along to take a look at the refurbishment and to hear more about the exciting plans for the future.

Also, James crosses live to Olympic Park for an update on the day's action from our repoter Neil Cartmell.

After 6pm, former Countryfile presenter Roger Tabor gives his take on a ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Suffolk listener's encounter with a panther-like creature.
