Stone reliefs and surviving remains give a brief overview of Ancient Greek approaches to health. There are references to the gods, especially Asclepius, the god of medicine and healing, and to the wide range of other 'options' from bonesetters to herbal remedies. Patients tried everything and anything, and the gods were only called upon to heal in the worst cases.
