How much did ordinary Germans know about the actions of the Nazis?
A contemporary description of the Battle of Poland as 'wonderful carnage.' The narrator believes Germany was so drugged on its own lies they just couldn't see the shame any more. An account of an atrocity on the Eastern front is given, and there is speculation as to whether the German people knew what was being done in their name. Closer to home were the 'work camps', and there is disagreement as to whether or not the German people knew what was really happening there.
