Nelson Mandela reflects on using the 1964 trial as a platform to set out his ideals and beliefs. The clip includes a recording of Mandela’s statement from the dock at the opening of his trial. Mandela’s lawyer points out that many South Africans at the time held the belief that Mandela was a terrorist.
