An extract from the 1999 adaptation of 'Great Expectations' by Charles Dickens. In the opening of the novel, Pip is threatened by a convict in a graveyard. Later Pip brings the convict items that he has stolen from home to assist in his escape. Although at first hostile, the convict is eventually grateful for Pip's help.
