Sun reporter Harry Arnold's Hillsborough regret

Harry Arnold, the Sun journalist who wrote a story alleging drunk Liverpool fans abused victims and police during the Hillsborough disaster said he was "aghast" when he saw the headline. Arnold told the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ his story had been written in a "fair and balanced way" and the controversial claims had been "allegations". He claimed it was editor Kelvin MacKenzie who wrote the headline "The Truth".

Official papers will be released on Wednesday, 23 years after the Hillsborough disaster in which 96 Liverpool fans died.

The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ tried to contact Kelvin Mackenzie but he was unavailable for comment.
