Lyse Doucet believes that sometimes the smallest of places can tell a bigger story. In this instance, she has visited Barzeh in Damascus three times in the past year. At first Damascus seemed to be in a bubble, but now conflict has arrived.
Food in The Phillipines does not have a great reputation, according to Kate McKeown. But she says that this might be changing as chefs are bringing new twists to traditional dishes.
