Memories of Dave Brubeck

A selection of the best in jazz music.

Dave Brubeck who died last week just a day before his 92nd birthday had a vast musical career behind him. He also had a vast back catalogue of recordings and compositions which covered all kinds of music. And although jazz was not the only music he was involved with, jazz was his main interest and his chosen medium over the years. But he was known not only by jazz fans, but others who had no real interest in the music. We hear about his time in Europe during the war and how he became part of American music and of course we shall sample some of that music and just a little of the back catalogue.
