Introduction to CAD
The use of computer-aided design - CAD - is demonstrated in a variety of situations, including boat design, a desktop garden design program, road planning and building refurbishment. CAD software reduces the amount of work required from a designer; changes are easier and you can more easily view a design from different angles. 3D CAD modelling is more flexible than paper plans, providing a master template from which different stages or parts of construction can be displayed.
