Unbalanced forces or Newton's Second Law of Motion
Newton's Second Law of Motion is described through the examples of rockets, cars and seatbelts. When a rocket lifts off, the force of the engines' thrust is greater than the force from the weight of the rocket. This unbalanced force causes the rocket to accelerate. A car starting up and braking are both examples of acceleration caused by unbalanced forces. A seatbelt in a car provides an unbalanced force on the driver or passenger so that they decelerate safely.
