The Shannon-Erne Waterway
This film is about the canal which was built to link the Shannon and Erne waterways. It is at least 100 years old. Completed in 1846, the Shannon-Erne Waterway was only used for a few years until goods were transported by train. Now it has been reopened to help people enjoy the area. We see children operate a virtual lock by opening the gate once the waters are at equal heights.
