A suicide bomber entered a snooker club near to a police station and Shia mosque in the predominantly Hazara Shia Muslim neighbourhood, and detonated a device.Following the initial blast, rescue teams and journalists who had just arrived on the scene where then caught up in a second explosion.
Lashkar-e-Jhangvi which is a banned organisation has said they carried out the attack.
Baluchistan suffered a number of sectarian related incidents last year between Sunnis and Shias, which have led to calls for the government to do more to deal with extremist groups.
