'Being myself people accepted me more'
Jenni Murray is joined by Shelby the 14 year old presenter of a CÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ documentary called ‘What’s A Girl’. Shelby has never wanted to be a boy but she likes her short hair, lives in trousers and can’t stand pink. Today she’s confident about being true to herself but it hasn’t always been easy. She reflects on her own experience and what girls of all ages and personalities told her being a girl meant to them.
‘My Life: What’s A Girl?’ is broadcast on CÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ 5.45 – 6.15pm on March 12th.
