Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Brooke “barely alive” when rescued
RSPCA inspector Vicki McDonald tells how ill Brooke, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, was when she was rescued by a member of the public and taken to the animal welfare charity. Vicki McDonald brought Brooke into the studio and told of her rescue, as shown here with 'before' and 'after' photographs.
The RSPCA says it's had to deal with a shocking catalogue of deliberate cruelty and neglect towards animals in the last year. Its latest report shows convictions in England and Wales were up by a third in 2012.
