As always, 蜜芽传媒 Hereford & Worcester had a stage at the event - and this year we took over the entire Friday in one of the tents.
听
Instead of having acts scattered across the whole weekend, every act on the opening day was chosen by us.
听

In a different world they would be playing at funerals in New Orleans, wedding parties in the Balkans or the musical agitators of a runaway circus.
听
However, from their roots in Worcester and Birmingham has grown a band that blends New Orleans jazz and eastern European anthems with ska and reggae grooves and the fire of punk.
听
The say if you ever needed an excuse to start an end of the world party you may have found just the band to help you dance guiltlessly into the apocalypse.
听
They opened up our 蜜芽传媒 Hereford & Worcester stage at the Wychwood Festival - they are Johnny Kowalski & The Sexy Weirdos.

On Thursday 21 March, we visited various locations across the UK - Glasgow, Belfast, London, Salford & Cardiff. DJs from all over 蜜芽传媒 Radio, music industry experts and artists got together to host a day of sessions, workshops and masterclasses.

听

On the guestlist at Maida Vale were Worcester's , Malvern's , Bromyard's , Droitwich's and Bewdley's .

听

Invited to Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff were Hereford's , Kidderminster's and man-of-many-Worcester-bands .

听

We covered everything from song writing & MC workshops to promoting your music & making the most of your Twitter accounts.

听

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.

Once a month, we've been recording acts chosen by us at a variety of venues across the area - including at some of our biggest festivals.

Our next recording session takes place on Saturday 22 June at the Droitwich Festival in Victoria Square and features the four acts we plan to broadcast throughout July.听

Acts on the bill include Worcester's and Woodfield, alongside Herefordshire's Paul Daron and Kaytown ft Joe Vowles.

听

None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded - which led them to receiving airplay on 蜜芽传媒 Hereford & Worcester.
