Behind enemy lines: The elite squad vital to the success of The D Day Landings
The D-Day landings changed the course of the Second World War and it was thanks to a little-known operation by the elite unit of British paratroopers, 9-Para.
They were involved in a mission behind enemy lines, with the lives of thousands of British troops depending on their success.
This morning we spoke with Geoff Pattinson and Fred Glover, two veterans who were part of the para operation in Normandy and Colonel Stuart Tootal, who's written a book about the experiences of 9 para during D Day.
Colonel Stuart Tootal's book, The Manner of Men, is out now.
