Gladys Knight inducted into the Singers Hall of Fame
Nominator: Gordon MacDonald
From: Edinburgh
Gordon has his choice of Gladys Knight inducted into Michael Ball's Singers Hall of Fame on Radio 2.
Why: "She was one of the major female vocalists from the sixties right through the seventies, with hits like “Midnight Train to Georgia”, “Baby Don’t Change your Mind”, “Come Back and Finish What You Started” and - later – her James Bond theme, “Licence to Kill”. Choosing which track to play is not easy, but I think “Help Me Make it Through the Night” would be the best fit for a relaxing Sunday Night!”
Great artist, great song. Thanks ever so much for contacting the show Gordon.
