It's forty one years since tens of thousands of Ugandan Asians were thrown out of their country by dictator General Idi Amin.

Among those expelled in 1972 was Blackburn's former Mayor Councillor Yusuf Jan Vermani. He was a teenager at the time and along with his family arrived in the UK with just 拢50, the clothes they were wearing, and a suitcase.
