Why Britain burned the White House down
The relationship between Britain and America is described as "special" but almost two hundred years ago the two countries were at war.
Iin 1815, the British army marched to the White House, ate the President’s dinner and then proceeded to burn the building down.
It's a story that the author and broadcaster Peter Snow had never heard until two years ago. He was so fascinated, he decided to investigate.
When Britain Burned the White House is out on Thursday 12th September.
