On Saturday 23rd November 1963, a mysterious time traveller known only as “The Doctor” appeared on ѿý television for the very first time
Doctor Who is now celebrating its 50th anniversary. This Friday and Saturday, ѿý Radio Leicester marks the occasion with special features and interviews with cast past and present.
Among the special features – a group of Leicestershire Beaver Scouts give their views on the very first episode from 1963, we hear about Rutland Water’s role in the history of Doctor Who and we meet two of the Doctor’s best-loved companions.
