Portsmouth council leader reaction on BAE shipbuilding cuts
Gerald Vernon-Jackson, Lib Dem leader of Portsmouth City Council says: "It's dangerous for the defence of the country and dangerous for the Royal Navy" and claims it's "clearly a political decision by ministers" following the announcement that BAE may cut more than 1,000 jobs between Portsmouth and the Govan and Scotstoun yards in Glasgow.
