The role of an Aircraft Painter for British Airways
Sophie Carroll talks about her role as an Aircraft Painter for British Airways and how spending time in her father’s body shop when she was younger may have influenced her career choice. She started as cabin crew and had little to no experience to begin with but her willingness to learn resulted in an opportunity to train on the job with the support of a mentor. Sophie lists some of the equipment she uses and points out the importance of well-presented aircraft in relation to customer confidence. There’s no doubt it’s a rewarding role and Sophie feels especially proud when an aircraft she’s worked on flies overhead.
