Racing pundit John McCririck, who has lost his age discrimination case against Channel 4 for his dismissal from his role on Channel 4 Racing, said he feels that he "let so many people down".

A tribunal ruled against him and said that his persona and views on Channel 4 racing were 鈥渃learly unpalatable to a wider potential audience".

The 73-year-old says his wife Jenny McCririck, who he calls The Booby, has been 鈥渟o stressed鈥� and the ruling has 鈥渉it her very hard鈥�.

鈥淚 let my wife The Booby down, she was always worried about this and counselled me not to go ahead, my legal team I let down," he said.
