In a week long special Mark Carter shares stories from staff and visitors at the Mane Chance Animal Sanctuary in Compton.

Nestled in the Surrey countryside听Mane Chance is a haven for horses that have been badly abused and neglected.

听

It was founded two years ago by the actress Jenny Seagrove and at the end of last year, Mane Chance was the recipient of a 蜜芽传媒 Sussex and 蜜芽传媒 Surrey Community Heroes Award in the Animal Welfare category.

听

As well as nursing the horses back to good health, the aim of the sanctuary is to integrate them with the local community.
