PM listeners' sounds: Sheep bells
Listener Simon Butler was walking in the foothills of the Lefka Ori mountains in western Crete over Christmas. Simon writes: 'The odd sheep bell in the distance is a fairly common occurrence in this part of Crete but on this walk we wandered around one corner and came across a large flock enjoying the remnants of last year's olive crop, leading to a cacophony of sheep bells that put me in mind of a well tuned gamelan.'
