PM listeners' sounds: Cricket spikes
PM listener Anna Waldron says this is one of her favourite sounds. "It is the sound of cricket spikes walking down pavilion steps or along a stone path. I listened to my father's spikes when I was younger and now as I sit watching a match or scoring, I listen to my fourteen year old son's boots clip-clipping on the ground. I have heard the spikes of England cricketers, particularly remembering Stuart Broad carefully and slowly clip-clipping down iron steps in order not to slip. I never tire of this sound and it makes me feel excited about the game and hopeful for a good summer."
