“She looked out of place” - the stranger who helped an Ethiopian prostitute get an education
An Israeli media professional, Ishay Hadas, has spent thousands of dollars helping educate a young Ethiopian orphan he met on an expedition to one of the most remote parts of the country. After nine years of study, Sofiya Nigatu qualified as a pharmacist. But when Ishay Hadas met her, her prospects were very different. He was stuck in a small mining town in Ethiopia when a local army captain invited him for a drink.
