The Co-Operative Group: a year of troubles and scandal
It's understood the Co-operative Group chief executive, Euan Sutherland, has offered his resignation and said the business is "ungovernable"; reportedly members are trying to persuade him to stay.
In the last year the Co-operative has experienced various negative events that may have eroded trust in the group, including financial problems in its banking division and the scandal involving the division's former chairman Paul Flowers, who was arrested for alleged drug offences.
